Fish out of water
Today I took Alex swimming at the gym with my friend and her daughter. I haven't taken him swimming as much as I would have liked to, so he was hesitant at first to get in the water. He was clinging on to me like a little monkey when we first got in the pool. After 15 minutes though he was having a lot of fun and spashing around. Then he got adventurous and wanted me to let him go. He was trying to wiggle away from me instead of hanging on! We stayed mostly by the stairs where it was shallow, and he kept trying to jump off the stairs into the pool. A couple of times he got his face wet and realized he didn't like that at all.
