Okay, I admit it.  I despise assembling childrens toys.  Heck, I despise assembling anything that comes in a box.  I would make a horrible engineer.

Today I bought a new vacuum from Sears.  It was rated the #1 Consumer's Guide choice in upright vacuums.  Now we have central vac, but we also have 4 dogs and I vacuum every single day.  (No, I'm not exaggerating).  Even though I do this there is always dog hair still stuck on my carpet!  The hair stares at me and mocks me  - "ha ha, you can't vacuum me up!"  However, the vacuum I just purchased will suppossedly suck your face off.  One review stated that after vacuuming, the reviewer could have reconstructed another cat with all the cat hair he vaccumed up.  Now that's what I'm talking about!

Anyway, I had my husband take the vacuum out of the box and put it together.  Ha ha, avoided that little assembly dilemma. 

However, I decided to assemble one of Alex's birthday presents (don't ask me why) and it required a hammer!!!  Yuck!  It was a little worker bench made by Little Tykes.  The damn instructions didn't even have words - just pictures.  Well I put it together after a few minutes, and commented that I heard there was a company you could hire to come to your house after Christmas and they would assemble all your toys, etc.  Sounds like a good idea to me.  Even though part of Christmas is watching your parents get frustrated putting your new bike, toy, etc. together after you have opened it.  Ahh, the memories!
